Feeling frazzled? Like your brain’s on a roller coaster you never bought a ticket for?

Meet my favorite 2-minute game-changer: Nadi Shodhana (Alternate Nostril Breathing) — a tiny but mighty ritual that hits “pause” on stress and flips your focus switch back on.

It’s a non-negotiable part of my morning routine. I do it before drinking warm lemon water, checking email and eating breakfast.

When I skip it, I feel like my brain has too many browser tabs open. 💻

Try adding it to your mornings and see how it changes your whole day.

It’s simple, grounding and the easiest way to start clear-headed and calm.

Quick how-to:
It's all about mindful rhythm — breathing in through one nostril while closing the other, then switching sides. It’s simple, soothing and surprisingly effective.

Here’s why you’ll love it:

  • Melt stress faster than ice cream on a summer sidewalk. 🍦
  • Sharpen your mind without caffeine jitters. ☕
  • Feel grounded enough to handle the nonstop demands of your day. 🕉️

And it doesn’t have to be just for mornings.

I've used Alternate Nostril Breathing:

  • Before big meetings
  • While waiting in the doctor’s office
  • On those days when everything seems to demand my attention at once

Try it now as a quick reset for your top stressors.

Here’s to your calmest days yet,
Julie

P.S. We’ll be practicing Alternate Nostril Breathing in my yoga classes this month at Bloomingdale Park District. Plus, don’t miss Grateful Heart Yoga at Green Hills Public Library District on November 15 — sign up before it fills up! I'm also teaching a few other upcoming one-time classes, so check the schedule and join me!

P.P.S. Something big is coming to help you create your ultimate self-care routine so you can feel calm, consistent and energized all year long. Stay tuned — you won’t want to miss this!
